Making space for healing, connection, and life after loss
Grief is a natural response to loss—
but it can feel isolating, confusing, and overwhelming.
Whether your loss is recent or long ago, expected or sudden, visible or invisible, you don’t have to navigate it alone.
At IVIVO, grief counseling offers a compassionate and supportive space to help you make sense of what you’re carrying and find ways to live meaningfully alongside your loss.
When Grief Feels Heavy
You may be grieving the death of someone you love, or you may be experiencing grief related to:
A relationship ending or changing
Relocation, or cultural loss
Changes in health, identity, or abilities
Infertility or pregnancy loss
Loss of faith, meaning, or a sense of direction
Anticipatory grief when loss feels imminent
Grief doesn’t always look like sadness.
It can show up as numbness, irritability, anxiety, exhaustion, or a sense of disconnection from yourself or others. There is no “right way” to grieve—and no timeline you need to follow.
How Grief Counseling Can Help
Grief counseling is not about forgetting, letting go, or “moving on.” It’s about learning how to carry your loss in a way that allows space for healing, connection, and life again.
In grief counseling, we may focus on:
Making sense of intense or conflicting emotions
Processing unresolved or complicated grief
Managing anxiety, guilt, or intrusive thoughts
Honoring your relationship with the person or loss
Navigating anniversaries, holidays, and life transitions
Reconnecting with meaning, purpose, and hope—at your own pace
My Approach to Grief Work
I offer grief counseling that is gentle, collaborative, and evidence-based. I take a whole-person approach, integrating emotional, physical, and spiritual dimensions of healing, while respecting your personal beliefs, culture, and values. Grief is personal. Your counseling experience will be too.
Are You Wondering if Grief Counseling is Right for You?
Many people wonder:
“Should I be feeling better by now?”
“Am I grieving too much—or not enough?”
“Do I really need counseling, or just more time?”
You don’t have to carry this alone.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply tired of holding everything in, support is available.
Two modalities of Grief Counseling Support to Select
Grief Support Group
The group modality is the best evidence-based approach, as you will share your own experience but also witness others’ similar journeys. You pay only a $55 monthly fee; group sessions are scheduled weekly.
Individual Counseling
$150 per 50-minute session
All grief counseling sessions are offered online through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform.
Most health insurances have grief coverage. It helps to call your provider and ask about things like deductibles, co-pays, and the number of covered visits for grief counseling.
Healing doesn’t mean the loss didn’t happen. It means that it no longer controls us.
